2700 Mile Road trip!

Our trip across the US (from Connecticut to Utah) was quite the adventure. We stopped in Ohio to see my brother Matt and his family. We had so much fun there and wished we could have stayed longer. Then we stopped in Dayton to see my sister Monica and brother-in-law Aaron and their new apartment. They made us a delicious meal and we loved being with them. My sister even baked a wonderful cherry pie! Our next stop was Lindenwood, IL where we stayed with my brother Steve and his family. There house was SO much fun! They have a huge upstairs room with a full basketball court and a whole bunch of big wheels and then there is a look out/ loft that is so beautiful at night. We had a blast with the kids. Then came the real adventure when our car started acting up in Grand Island, NE. We stopped at an Autozone where they tried to help us for a few hours, trying different things that didn't work. So luckily we found a mechanic to help us at 7pm on a Saturday night. He worked on it for awhile and then finally we were off! Except after a few hours the car started acting up AGAIN. We still were able to drive it though, all through the night to arrive in Parker, CO. We visited some wonderful families there, had some delicious food and stayed the night with the Vander Does family. There daughters have the most beautiful voices and sang some songs for us from Wicked! We loved it. Then we woke up early to drive to Utah so I could go to work at 2pm that afternoon...but sadly we never made it. We had to stop in Laramie, WY where a mechanic did some minor fixes and then we had to stop in Rawlins, WY again to try and figure out the REAL problem but they didn't really know or have time so we opted to drive to Rock Springs, WY where they couldn't fix our car for another 4 days so we decided to risk the drive to Utah anyways. Luckily after a slow/long road (and calling out of work) we made it in that night. So it was definitely a long trip but we had fun and I took some pretty scenic pictures along the way and the best part was that we were able to see a lot of people that we love =]
