Calvin's Update...
- Officially crawling with his belly up... and fast!
- Pulling to stand-up on furniture
- Eating bigger chunks of things + crunchy foods, like Cheerios
- Drinking a lot better from his sippy cup
- Suffered through his first sickness... croup. He woke up wheezing one morning, so of course I Googled way too many horror stories and called the pediatrician. The nurse said when they're wheezing we have to come in just in case it's pneumonia or bronchitis. But luckily it wasn't! He just needed cold air to help with the breathing, extra sleep, and lots of snuggles, which I was happy to give! He almost never sleeps on us, so I took advantage of it.
- Might have said "mama" a few times.
- Went on the second long road trip of his life to Connecticut, again. Did amazingly well. Just played, slept, and only had to stop once to eat.
- Met Crufi the chocolate lab and fell in love. Laughed hysterically every time Crufi licked his toes, or hands, or face. Tried to follow him wherever he went. (Crufi did not feel the same way and always tried to run away or moved to a different room.)
- Celebrated his first Christmas! Loved the wrapping paper, boxes and his gifts, a walker & jelly bean racer.
- Went swimming at an indoor pool and LOVED splashing around.
- Enjoyed the baby swings at the park for the first time. He liked it, but was way more interested in watching the kids run around.
- Spent his first New Years Eve in New York City and loved all the lights, cars and people, but hated the cold.
- Caught his first bug... a stink bug. He loves finding things and then keeps them clamped in his fist for long periods of time. I probably wouldn't have noticed except he looked super guilty and I smelled it because he had squished it so hard, it let out it's potent smell. So gross!
- Sleeps through the night, but has been waking up a lot earlier (like 6am.)
- Still in 9-12 month clothes and size 3 diapers
- Weight: close to 20 pounds now, I think (haven't gotten around to weighing him)
- Height: 28" (appx. measurement on his new giant wooden ruler we got for Christmas - to track his height through the years)
- Cords
- Crawling & standing everywhere
- Banging on things repeatedly
- Neck and leg tickles
- Face nuzzles to the belly
- Straws
- Getting into things he's not supposed to
- Attempting to crawl up the steps at Grandma Curtis's house
- Puppies
- Pulling ornaments and garland off the Christmas tree
- Yogurt puffs
Dislikes...
- Eating when more interesting things are going on
- Pooping
- Getting dressed, especially after a bath
- Sleeping in
