2015 in 5 Minutes.

I love doing recaps and remembering the past, but as usual I'm in a rush, so here's a quick overview of our 2015 highlights!

Calvin...
  • Learned to walk! (10 months)
  • Won his first March Madness bracket
  • Turned ONE
  • Graduated to the "big boy" carseat (still rear facing though)
  • Started to learn to talk and FINALLY use sign language
  • Dressed up as an old man for Halloween and earned us way too much candy with his cuteness
  • Turned 18 months and started attending nursery class at church (YAY)
  • Endlessly tried to convince to buy a puppy (I'm still not ready yet)

Christopher...
  • Continued to grow our commercial photography business, 360-Degree Access and landed our biggest contract yet!
  • Graduated with his Masters in Athletic Administration from Western Kentucky University
  • Fell in love with Asheville, NC
  • Spent many hours hunting
  • Taught 16-18 year-old Sunday School
  • Coached his 3rd season of Denison University football and ended with a 7-3 record + also worked as their Director of Football Operations

I...
  • Rebranded my portrait photography business from Natalie Joy Creations to White Elm Photography
  • Expanded my client base for contract marketing & design services
  • Learned more about Adobe InDesign, Illustrator & Lightroom + studio light photography
  • Fell in love with the Outer Banks, North Carolina BBQ and Cheerwine
  • Transitioned from Young Women leader to Relief Society teacher at church
  • Watched way too many episodes of Fixer Upper and started redecorating + reorganizing our home

We...
  • Welcomed 2 great-nieces, Emeline & Chloe and a new nephew, Landen!
  • Replaced both our cars: our Ford Focus ("Goldie") was totaled while parked on the street in front of our house and our Toyota Camry ("Cami" aka "Green Dinosaur") was sold to upgrade our business image... so now we have a Honda Accord and Toyota Sienna! I never thought I would love having a mini van, but it seriously is THE BEST! I love the convenience, safety, and storage space
  • Traveled to Niagara Falls, Boston, Maine, Connecticut, Virginia, the Outer Banks, Asheville, Morgantown, West Virginia and New York City
  • Complained endlessly about Obamacare (downside of being self employed...)
  • Explored our local area with trips to the Columbus Zoo, Highland Park Pool, Magic Mountain Mini Golf, Bike Trips down the Scioto Mile, Cinemark Dollar Theater, Westerville Library & Columbus Metro Library
  • Enjoyed our favorite local restaurants: Coppa Gelato, Arepazo, King Gyros, Elm's Pizza
  • Signed up for a family membership at the YMCA
  • Found out we were expecting our 2nd child...a baby GIRL!

Happy 2016! Can't wait to see what the new year will bring as we transition to a family of four.
