Dear Lucy,
Today you received a special blessing from your father. He gave you the name, Lucy May Curtis. He blessed you with health, that you will be kind and loving to others, and that you will see the good in people. He also blessed you to have a testimony of Christ at a young age and to have the desire to learn about the gospel. He told you that your Heavenly Father loves you, and that you have a family that loves you. He blessed you that your Father in Heaven would grant you everything that you may need throughout your life.
Your Ur-Opa, Grandpa Curtis, Uncle Justin and Uncle Zach stood in the circle and your Uncle Noah held the microphone. A few minutes before the blessing, you fell asleep in your dad's arms. You tend to be very opinionated and vocal, so your mom was a little nervous, but (thankfully) you were a perfect angel the whole time.
Afterwards, we took pictures! Your brother Calvin was tired, hungry and cranky. (Church at 1pm is hard because that's when he always takes a nap.) But we got a few pictures anyways and captured real life as it is.

It was a nice Sunday afternoon in Connecticut. You wore a beautiful white dress that your Ur-Oma (great grandma) from Germany made for you!
Your brother was very sweet to you all day (like usual). He gets so excited whenever he sees you, calls you "LuLu" and always tries to share his snacks and toys. He loves to give you kisses, tickles and snuggles.
Even though you are difficult at times, we have loved getting to know you these past 2 months. Your name, Lucy, means "light," which fits you perfectly. You have the sweetest smile that can brighten a room and love to be around people. You love to socialize and are starting to make the cutest noises.
We feel so lucky that God sent you to our family. We love you so much, Lucy May!

So sweet! Happy Blessing Day Lucy!
