This year, we were lucky to be able to take a few weeks off work so we could spend some holiday time with family in Connecticut.
We got to celebrate Noah's 16th birthday!
Complete with a Swimmer's Cake.
We got to cheer for Noah at two swim meets. He's super speedy at the butterfly!
And no, my pregnancy hormones did NOT make me choke back happy-proud tears while cheering! (...ok, maybe sometimes they did.)
Husband and I took second place in the Annual Gingerbread House Competition. (Which obviously ruined the Christmas spirit for awhile because no one wants to be the first loser.)
We had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner of the traditional German meal, Raclette.
Which was obviously preceded by arguments over the dress code...
Formal wear?
Camo attire?
Baby bump loved all the yummy meals and treats!
Christmas morning started like usual... with stockings and gifts.
Husband was happy with all his hunting gear and the new NFL Madden25. (I'm still contemplating whether that second gift was a wise idea...)
I was shocked and ecstatic for my Silhouette CAMEO! I've been dreaming of SO MANY crafting projects ever since! (Husband is probably wondering whether this was a good idea.)
It was also a special year because everyone (even Keasha's fiance, Zach) was home for Christmas!
As part of our Christmas gift, we were all treated to a yummy dinner at Carmine's Italian Restraurant in NYC!
It was such a beautiful (& yummy) place!
And you can't beat the City at Christmas time. Especially if you're three brothers watching the ice skaters in Bryant Park (because you made a point-system game for predicting which people will fall down.)
Overall, it was a wonderful break from work and great to spend time with family!
Hope you a had Merry Christmas, too!
