Our little monster is ONE month old! Here's a quick summary...
- Started out exclusively breastfeeding... then breastfeeding + pumped breast milk in a bottle...then breastfeeding + pumped breast milk in a bottle + formula in a bottle... and now we are (finally) back to just exclusively breastfeeding! Such a relief.
- Getting better at holding up his head
- Lifts up his head a little and kicks his legs during tummy time (but gets tired pretty quick)
- Focuses and tracks objects (sometimes)
- Gives us lots of "milk smiles" and "zombie eyes"
- Took his first big road trip to Connecticut where he met lots of family: his Oma & Opa, Great Aunt Silke, Uncle Justin & Aunt Sydney, and Uncle Zach & Aunt Keasha and his first puppy, Crufi! He did so good and slept most of the 13-hour trip (with stops to eat, of course.)
- Just barely started socially smiling!! (not often and only for Dad, but luckily he was around so we were able to capture a few of the rare gems during his one-month photos!)
- Wears 0-3 month clothes and Size 1 diapers. (Only fit in his newborn ones for a few days when he lost weight at the hospital.)
- Weight: 10.11 pounds (Mom was SO happy. It was a great improvement from 8.5 pounds at his 1-week checkup)
- Height: 22 inches
- Head size: 15.5 inches (97th percentile!)
Dislikes:
- Evenings
- Diaper changes
- Clothing changes
- Lip-tie exercises
- Milk that's too fast
- Milk that's too slow
- Sponge baths

- Bouncing on the yoga ball with Dad
- Snuggling with Dad
- Reading The Foot Book by Dr Seuss, with Dad
- Basically anything with Dad
