Update:
- Officially sitting... and only tipping over when he wants to!
- Lifts his belly, rocks on his hands and knees and occasionally seal-dives forward, and inches and scoots a bit, but mostly prefers to roll everywhere and pivot around to get what he wants
- Straightens one leg when on all fours. Dad calls it "the stanky leg."
- Getting into things, like dumping over the toy basket, grabbing cords, etc.
- Eating like a champ. We usually can't feed him fast enough and he pants like a crazy man until we give him more. Starting to eat more real foods like tiny bites of bread, pureed meats and mixed flavors
- Growls all the time, but is starting to make a lot of new cute noises mixed in (like ya, and da-da)
- Celebrated his first Thanksgiving. Loved his turkey and potatoes + playing with his cousins.
- Sleeping a lot better than last month, from about 7:30-7:30 straight through, with a 40min-1hr morning nap and 1.5-2 hour afternoon nap
- Wearing size 3 diapers & 9-month clothes are getting a little tight (close to 12-month but not quite)
- Experienced his first snow! He didn't react much and was not a fan of the cold
- Weight: About 19 pounds
Likes:
- Exploring more than being held
- Pears, prunes, peaches
- Sitting on Dad's shoulders
- When Dad smells his stinky diapers & makes a "PU" face
- Dr Seuss's ABC book (with mom's crazy voice + dad's silly faces)
- Brushing his teeth
- Mirrors
- Inspecting our fingertips
Dislikes:
- Green beans
- Avacado
- Getting dressed while laying down
- When toys are out of his reach
- Sundays
